To trust oneself

You, me, we hesitate, often ... a long time ... When others darken, with a disconcerting enthusiasm. Their momentum is not a matter of will, let alone naive spontaneity. Just a question of trust. Or, rather, a question of "just trust". Neither too weak nor too arrogant, of those that develop over time, experiences, happy and unhappy, thanks to a better knowledge of oneself. Afraid to displease, afraid to do wrong: each of us doubts him and always has a (bad) reason to refrain from giving life to his convictions. As the philosopher and psychoanalyst Cynthia Fleury reminds us, we are all capable of living with courage and finding the strength to act in accordance with our desires. A force that is exercised on a daily basis, for example in successfully educating our children in "our own way". The psychoanalyst Claude Halmos explains to us that to be a parent is to doubt, reflect and cultivate one's singularity. The psychiatrist and psychotherapist Frédéric Fanget recommends us some simple exercises to take stock of our beliefs, to realize our competences and, finally, to reinforce our "trust capital".
